Specialist Conference "20 Years Washington Principles: Roadmap for the Future"

Mark­ing the 20th an­niver­sary of the adop­tion of the Wash­ing­ton Prin­ci­ples, the Ger­man Lost Art Foun­da­tion – in co­op­er­a­tion with the Kul­turs­tiftung der Län­der and the Stiftung Preußis­ch­er Kul­turbe­sitz –  held an in­ter­na­tion­al spe­cial­ist con­fer­ence "20 Years Wash­ing­ton Prin­ci­ples: Roadmap for the Fu­ture" from Novem­ber 26 to 28, 2018 at the “Haus der Kul­turen der Welt” in Berlin. The con­fer­ence was spon­sored by the Fed­er­al Com­mis­sion­er for Cul­ture and Me­dia.

Be­low you will find the doc­u­men­ta­tion of the con­fer­ence. The en­tire pan­el pro­ceed­ings were post­ed as a live-stream dur­ing the con­fer­ence, now the films are avail­able as a per­ma­nent record. Ac­cord­ing to the the­mat­ic sec­tions of the con­fer­ence, the ma­te­ri­al was sub­di­vid­ed to ease your ac­cess. Co­op­er­a­tive Project Kör­ber Foun­da­tion and Ger­man Lost Art Foun­da­tion

Lead­ing up to the spe­cial­ist con­fer­ence, the Ger­man Lost Art Foun­da­tion and the Kör­ber Foun­da­tion (Kör­ber-Stiftung) co­op­er­at­ed in or­ga­niz­ing a work­shop for the Kör­ber Foun­da­tion’s “EU­STO­RY Next Gen­er­a­tion Sum­mit 2018” from Novem­ber 14 to 19, 2018. To­geth­er, they of­fered a work­shop on “Resti­tu­tion of Art: Find­ing Just and Fair So­lu­tions” for six­teen young Eu­ro­peans from twelve coun­tries. Two of the par­tic­i­pants and a work­shop mod­er­a­tor pre­sent­ed their project in sec­tion 4 as “Wash­ing­ton Prin­ci­ples 2018: Per­spec­tives of Young Peo­ple from Eu­rope”.
