Foundation advises the Provenance Research Network in Lower Saxony – New website launched
The Provenance Research Network was founded by the state of Lower Saxony at the beginning of 2015 to support its state museums with investigating possible cases of Nazi-looted art in their collections. The German Lost Art Foundation is represented on the Network’s steering committee by Uwe Hartmann, head of the Foundation’s department for provenance research.
Other members of the steering committee include the Museum Associations of Lower Saxony and Bremen, libraries, and institutions of higher education. The Provenance Research Network ensures that its activities are in line and coordinated with those of the German Lost Art Foundation and advises its partner institutions on funding application matters.
