Date 2016.04.15

On 14 April the German Lost Art Foundation hosted a meeting to discuss issues related to the war-related removal of cultural assets ("looted property"). The meeting was attended by staff and representatives of various institutions which have extensive experience in this area. One of the new tasks of the Foundation is to support efforts in this field of research. The meeting, headed by Uwe M. Schneede, chairman of the Foundation’s Executive Board, largely focused on possible research projects and cooperative partnerships. The participants formed various working groups which will meet again in the coming months to intensively discuss cultural assets reported lost by German, Russian and Ukrainian authorities.
