Project news: The journal “museum heute” reports on provenance research project at the Veste Coburg Art Collections

In the lat­est is­sue of “mu­se­um heute” (is­sue 48, Dec. 2015), the art his­to­ri­an and prove­nance re­searcher Fe­lix Bil­leter and Vanes­sa Voigt re­port on a prove­nance re­search project cur­rent­ly un­der­way at the Veste Coburg Art Col­lec­tions. The long-term in­ves­ti­ga­tion of the Old Ger­man paint­ings in the Schäfer Col­lec­tion was fi­nanced for twelve months by the Bu­reau for Prove­nance Re­search (now the Ger­man Lost Art Foun­da­tion) with fund­ing to­talling 34,000 eu­ros.
